New, Fall 2018:
I am writing now to announce a change in the location of my art studio and to announce two new classes that I will be teaching in the Fall at the new location: The Yellow Barn at Glen Echo Park.
Jordan Bruns, a wonderful teacher and mentor to me, has been a Resident Artist at the Stone Tower of Glen Echo Park and art instructor at the Yellow Barn for the past 10 years. He is now relocating to Japan for three years with his family. I enthusiastically accepted Jordan’s invitation to move into his studio and teach some of his classes. I also invited my colleague Jan Rowland to join me and we moved in to the historic Stone Tower (also called the Chautauqua Tower) Studio and Gallery last week. (Information on the historic Stone Tower at Glen Echo Park, is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chautauqua_Tower )
I will be teaching two (intermediate-to-advanced level) art classes at the Yellow Barn at Glen Echo this Fall (starting September 21). One is on drawing and the other on painting abstraction (all media). I invite you to visit me and to consider joining one of my classes.
Online registration for my classes, as well as for those of the many other wonderful teaching artists at Glen Echo Park is available at:http://www.ssreg.com/glenechopark/default.asp?page=Registration+Home. Online registration has started for the Fall and Winter sessions.
